Time Out.

Hi All!

Greg & I are taking some well deserved time out and are going away for the weekend. I am sooooo excited! 🙂

We’re hiring a car and driving down to a lovely B&B in the Surry Hills tonight and then we return on Sunday. I know it’s not a very long time away, but it’ll be so great to just get out of London and spend some time in the countryside.

We’re planning on doing some hiking in the area, perhaps visiting Denbies Wine Estate and generally just taking things easy. I might even twist Greg’s arm enough to come away with a bit of shopping! 😉

Chillaxing….for a change!

I am very excited about this weekend, and it has nothing to do with training for a change! This will be the first weekend in about a month where I don’t have to get up early to partake in any races or anything of the sort, and I can’t wait for it to actually begin.

A while ago my boyfriend got me a massage voucher and I’m finally able to cash in on it. I’ve booked myself in for an hour-long massage tomorrow morning, after which I’m being taken out for lunch and then off to the movies. Tomorrow evening we’ve got friends’ engagement party to go to, where I can actually let my hair down a little without worrying about getting up early on Sunday. Best of all……Sunday I’m sleeping in!

Don’t get me wrong, I have absolutely loved doing every single one of the races I did recently, but I’m also excited to have some “down time”. I’ve also been going to the gym pretty regularly during the week, so it’s going to be great to just take it easy.

Well, here’s to resting my little legs for 2 days…..Back again with a vengeance on Monday though! 😉


What a lazy weekend…

It’s probably just my imagination, but I feel as though I’ve been really busy of late. Mainly just work wise, but I’ve been feeling like I need a holiday or something. So I took this weekend to do just that!

I probably shouldn’t admit this, but I gave gym a skip this weekend. Honestly, I don’t even feel guilty about it. I’ve been going loads and my training is on track for my 5km on March 20th. I’m actually starting to really enjoy going to the gym. I honestly thought I’d never say that, but there it is. My gym sessions aren’t too long or too short. I’m not pushing myself too hard to the point of exhaustion, but instead I’m gradually trying to build up my fitness. Last Thursday, I ran on the treadmill for 30mins (although I did a couple of minutes walking throughout), and I loved it! I’m getting back into the swing of things this week, so it’s all good. 🙂

I just needed a weekend to veg out! My lovely boyfriend did treat me to dinner on Saturday which was lovely, but apart from that, I didn’t leave the house and it was wonderful! I basically spent the weekend on the couch with Puddy (the cat) , watching movies and documentaries. Here are some pics of us doing just that:

It really was a great weekend. Just what I needed. The batteries are charged & I’m ready for another week! I hope everybody else had a fun weekend too…….xxx
